PJC employees honored for length of service

Paris Junior College staff and faculty came together Monday morning for an annual meeting in preparation for the beginning of the fall semester. As part of the presentations, PJC President Dr. Pamela Anglin awarded long-time employees service pins celebrating their anniversaries. "This is an important opportunity to recognize our employees for their hard work and dedication," Dr. Anglin said. "These are amazing people who do a lot for our students and community." Receiving recognition were:
  • 35 years: Joan Mathis, writing lab.
  • 30 years: Barbara Thomas, counseling; Rita Tapp, registrar; and Cathie Tyler, fine arts.
  • 25 years: Albert Spann, maintenance; Mary Holbrook-Mims, computer center; Pam Bennett, president's office; Linda Mowery, continuing education; Diann Mason, English.
  • 20 years: Stephanie Booker, athletics; Beverly Matthews, office technology; Tony Underwood, jewelry; Callie Thompson, testing center; Shannon Calloway, jewelry; Jerry Hammack, institutional research; and Pat Fowzer, vocal music.
  • 15 years: Peggy Callaway, human resources; Jason Taylor, science; Doris Helm, social science; Santos Garcia, office technology; Susan Ingram, continuing education; Deanna Hutchinson, Greenville Center; Marcia Putnam, health occupations; and Ricky Woods, post office.
  • 10 years: Patty Allison, financial aid; Judy Frazier, nursing; Jeff Norris, math instructor; Ken Haley, distance learning/dual credit; Randall Childres, nursing; Gay Morris, Upward Bound; Angela Rember, business office; and John Shasteen, financial aid.
