Lone Oak volleyball standout to join the Dragons

Melanie Williams, a Class 2A All-State selectee from Lone Oak, Texas, has signed to join the Paris Junior College Dragons volleyball team in the fall semester. Williams was also an Academic All-State selectee and MVP of her district. She helped her team to the Regional Quarterfinals with a 30-11 record. Williams finished her senior year with 291 kills, 74 blocks and 256 digs. "I am very excited to have Melanie as a part of our program," said Dragons Volleyball Head Coach Justin Maness. "She is an extremely explosive athlete with tremendous jumping ability. Melanie has a strong competitive attitude and great character. She will be an asset to the volleyball program both on and off the court."
