Published or Revised April 03, 2008

Paris Junior College Chorale will present "America – Coast to Coast" at 7:30 p.m. on April 8 in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church, according to Patricia Fowzer, vocal director. This year's concert features a variety of music from many areas and venues across America. From the Metropolitan Opera, "The Anvil Chorus"; from New Orleans, a spiritual written by Moses Hogan entitled "Didn't my Lord Deliver Daniel"; from the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, "Total Praise"; from California, the Beach Boys' hit, "Good Vibrations"; from Detroit, "A Motown Spectacular"; and from Baltimore a medley of numbers from the musical, "Hairspray." This is PJC's largest choral group and they will be accompanied by Linda Flanary at the piano, percussionist Shawn Wellman from Paris High School, and a string orchestra from the Fort Worth area. The public is invited to attend this free concert.
