PTK sponsors Sulphur Springs Center food drive

Published or Revised December 01, 2008

Paris Junior College's honor society, Phi Theta Kappa, is sponsoring a food drive through Dec. 9, with donation boxes in the PJC — Sulphur Springs Center lobby. "We are pleased that our students want to help the community in this way," said PJC history and government instructor David Larkin. Donations will go to the Community Chest, which feeds on average 298 families a week — about 1,000 bags of food a month. While all donations are welcome, specific needs include: small bags of flour and sugar, cooking oil, cake mix and frosting, canned meat, macaroni and cheese, boxed crackers, powdered milk, paper towels and toilet paper. For more information contact PJC at 903-885-1232.
